Final Post of the 2023-2024 Season

Summary

Thanks for reading the Copper Daily Snow this season, and best wishes for a wonderful spring, summer, and fall!

Update

On Monday, April 22, 2024, I wrote my "final" post of the season. Then I wrote additional posts because late-season powder was on the way, and we wound up with 23 inches of snow from Thursday night to Monday morning (April 25-29, 2024) and multiple days with fresh powder.

That was a great way to wrap up April, and now I will write my "actual" final post of the season on April 29 (though the mountain will stay open into May).

I appreciate your readership and support of the Copper Daily Snow!

This 2023-2024 season at Copper started slowly with below-average snowfall during November and December. Then a mid-January storm cycle delivered significant snow accumulations, and storms arrived at more regular intervals with closer-to-average snowfall from late January through April.

The slow start meant that our snowpack was below average through early January, and then we enjoyed a stretch when snow fell for 14 out of 15 days in mid-January. This pushed our snowpack close to average, where it would stay through late April.

I hope you have a wonderful spring, summer, and fall, and again, thanks for reading the Copper Daily Snow this season!
