Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update
We are in a ‘tweener’ weather pattern here in northern Colorado. The storm track is just to the north of our state, and we are in between this more active weather to the north and drier weather to the south. That means most of the time we’ll see dry and sunny weather, but at times we’ll be hit with a few clouds and snow showers as energy from the north slides over northern Colorado.
One of these (mostly unforecasted) pieces of energy moved over Colorado on Tuesday night which resulted in a quick inch of snow, and now on Wednesday morning the sun is shining again and we are looking forward to a mostly sunny day.
I think we’ll see plenty of sun for the next three days, and the gusty winds on Wednesday will relax on Thursday and Friday as high temperatures reach the low 40s each day.
In terms of the snow forecast, we might see a few flakes on Friday night, Sunday night, and at times next week. None of these storms is going to be strong, but we may eek out 1-3 inches during each event. A stronger storm will likely hit on March 19-20, and then the longer-range models show a trend toward snowier weather during late March and early April. Stay tuned!
