Update

Copper Mountain is now open with three trails in the Center Village area. Get out there and slide:-)

Weatherwise, the story will be about the same from Sunday through Thursday. The nights will be cold enough for snowmaking with low temperatures in the upper teens to mid-20s. The days will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s, which is comfortable skiing weather and a bit too warm for snowmaking.

The next chance for natural snow and colder air will occur between Thursday night and Friday night. During this time, the average of many models shows about 3-6 inches of new snow with colder temperatures on Friday and Saturday. If your thing is skiing on fresh snow, think about starting the weekend early and heading to Copper on Friday.

Following Friday's system, the storm track will generally stay to our north and we'll need some luck for storms to drop far enough south to hit Colorado.

Thanks for reading and check back daily for a new update!
