Update

Copper Mountain is now open with three trails in the Center Village area. Get out there and slide:-)

Weatherwise, the story will be about the same from Monday through Thursday. The nights will be cold enough for snowmaking with low temperatures in the upper teens to mid-20s. The days will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30s to mid-40s, which is comfortable skiing weather and a bit too warm for snowmaking.

The good news is that a storm on Friday has been trending stronger, so there is a very good chance for significant natural snow at the end of the week.

Expect snow to start on Thursday night, continue through Friday night, and accumulate in the 4-8 inch range, and perhaps a bit more if things come together just right. Your best chance to ski fresh snow will be Friday during the day and Saturday morning. Winds will be strong on Friday and temperatures will be dropping, then on Saturday, the winds will be much lighter with temperatures in the teens and 20s.

After the storm on Friday, most models are showing dry weather returning through Thanksgiving. But storms that will lurk near Colorado during this time and I wouldn't be surprised if the forecast changes to indicate at least a bit of snow next week.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for an updated forecast!
