Update

Three trails are open in Center Village and snowmaking continues each night, though warmer temperatures during the day require the snow guns to turn off for a few hours.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will stay dry with similar temperatures – below freezing at night and in the 40s during the day.

The next storm will arrive on Thursday night, and expect gusty winds with periods of intense snow on Friday. Some snow will linger on Friday night, and then Saturday morning will dawn mostly clear with light winds, fresh snow on the ground (that fell on Friday night) and temperatures in the teens.

If you're itching to ski new snow on a couple of runs, Friday could be a fun day to take off of work or school, and Saturday morning should offer a bit of fresh as well, though most of it should be groomed into the slopes late on Friday night. Total snowfall from Thursday night through Friday night will likely be in the 4-8 inch range.

Following this storm, our next chance for light snow will be around next Tuesday. Looking far ahead, the rest of November will likely be on the warmer and drier side, and I do think we'll transition to cooler and stormier weather sometime during the first half of December. The snow will come ... patience!

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for an updated forecast!
