Summer Snow for the High Alps!
Summary
For the second time in as many weeks, the Alps saw considerable snow in some high elevation locations. This will be a short post reviewing some of the photos of the recent summer snow.
I hope you all have been enjoying your summer in the Alps and Pyrenees! After seeing some light snow on the Tetons in Wyoming, and the recent snow in the Alps, I am starting to shift my attention towards Winter. Even at high elevations where I live in the Wasatch it is starting to feel like Fall.
Let's take a look at the recent snow in the Alps!
Below we see some light accumulations at lower elevations at Val Thorens in France.
Glacier 3000 in Switzerland reported 30 cms at the Summit!
And over 20 cms at Dachstein Glacier.
Stay tuned for some informational posts this Fall about the storm types we see across Europe during the Winter months. Thanks for reading.
