Thursday

Our skies cleared on Wednesday night and we'll enjoy sunny skies and mild temps for Thursday. Clouds will increase through Thursday afternoon and signal the storm for Friday.

Friday

Light snow will quickly begin to fall on Thursday night and continue through midday Friday. Not a big snow producer but we should still receive 1-4 inches. This could allow for fresh turns for first chair Friday but get on it early as any fresh snow will quickly turn into mashed potatoes by midday.

Saturday

Clearing skies on Friday night will lead us into sunny skies and temps in the 30s to low 40s for Saturday. The best conditions will likely be found in the late morning when the overnight crunch softens.

Sunday - Wednesday

A multi-day storm cycle will ramp up on Sunday and we should receive multiple waves of fresh snow through Wednesday. We'll continue to dial in the details but as of now, expect snowfall to ramp up through Sunday, continue off-and-on through Monday, and be heaviest on Tuesday. Total accumulations should be in the double-digit range.

Later Next Week & Beyond

Looking further ahead, mild and dry weather will build back into the Western US during the second half of next week and into the weekend of April 10. It then looks like another stormy period will develop after April 11.

Travel Forecast

Dry road surfaces and normal travel speeds return on Thursday.

Wet, icy, and slushy road surfaces will form on Thursday night and continue through Friday night. Travel should continue to cruise along at normal speeds.

Dry road surfaces and normal travel speeds return on Saturday.

Wet, icy, and slushy road surfaces return on Sunday and remain in place through Wednesday. Snow-packed road surfaces could form at times but the high April sun angle will quickly work to clear these during the daylight hours.

Thanks for reading! Next update on Friday (4/1).

SAM COLLENTINE

P.S. I'll be traveling out of the country on my honeymoon through Sunday, April 17 so apologies for shorter and less frequent updates during this time. Thanks for your understanding!
