We received a dusting to maybe 1-2 inches on Wednesday night. Slick road surfaces will be encountered on Thursday morning. Dry weather returns Thursday afternoon through Saturday. Light snow Saturday night. Dry on Sunday and Monday. Stronger storm Monday night into Tuesday. Uncertain as we flip the calendar into December.
I-70 Snow Conditions
I-70 Travel Conditions
Our latest round of snow arrived on Wednesday evening and delivered anywhere from a dusting to 1-2 inches for Thursday morning's reports. We never had high expectations for this "storm" but we'll take a fresh coat of light snow and the colder temperatures.
Slick road surfaces could be encountered on Thursday morning but travel should be cruising along at normal speeds. Clear and dry road surfaces prevail on Thursday afternoon.
Following a few lingering snow showers on Thursday morning, sunny skies will prevail through midday Thursday and lead us into a cold and clear Thursday night. Temps will climb into the teens to low 20s on Thursday afternoon and drop into the single digits on Thursday night.
Friday - Saturday
Mild and dry conditions follow for Friday and Saturday. Expect sunny skies and temps in the 30s on Friday, followed by partly sunny skies and temps in the upper 20s to low 30s on Saturday.
Our next chance for snow will then arrive on Saturday night. Much like Wednesday night, this won't amount to much and I'm only expecting another dusting to maybe an inch or two through Sunday morning.
Sunday & Beyond
Following two more dry days on Sunday and Monday, we'll be tracking a stronger storm that is set to arrive on Monday night and deliver heavy snow through Tuesday. This storm continues to trend in the right direction and we should be looking at 3-6 inches through Tuesday afternoon.
Looking further ahead, we'll be in a bit of a disorganized pattern as we flip the calendar into December. There should be continued chances for snow but I'm uncertain in the details or strength. We'll see how everything trends as we get closer.
Thanks for reading and have a great Thanksgiving!
