Moderate to heavy snow in Idaho on Thursday

Summary

In Southern Idaho, it's snowing lightly this morning on Thursday, 12/19, and the intensity will build during the day, with 3-7 inches of new snow expected at Brundage Mountain, Tamarack and Bogus Basin, and a couple inches in Sun Valley. More snow coming tonight. Winter Weather Advisory in effect. At Northern Idaho resorts, two waves of storms are bringing subtropical moisture into the region with heavy precipitation and an atmospheric river effect. About 3-7 inches of new snow are expected today, but several feet could fall between now and Sunday.
