Schweitzer, Silver closed for season; Lookout and Pebble Creek still open

Summary

Following an announcement by Idaho Gov. Brad Little to limit public gatherings to 10 or fewer people, Bogus Basin, Brundage Mountain, Tamarack Resort and Pomerelle all closed for the season at the close of business on Tuesday, March 17, to protect public health and safety as a result of the corona virus. Schweitzer Mountain and Lookout remain open for daily operations in N. Idaho, and Pebble Creek remains open in Pocatello. If you're a true powder chaser, Pebble Creek would be the place to go on Wednesday, with 9 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours, and 23 inches in the last 48. I'll continue the Idaho snow forecasts for the time being while our ski areas continue to operate and also for the backcountry skiers/riders who will be hoofing for fresh turns or sunshine in the days ahead. Be safe out there!
