Storm event closes with wintry mix, high winds and cool-down Wed. afternoon
Summary
The atmospheric storm event brought heavy snow to N. Idaho ski areas, and Brundage, Tamarack and Pomerelle, then temperatures zoomed above freezing in many locations, causing rain or wintry mix overnight. Very high winds are forecast on the heels of the storm event, causing Silver Mountain to close today. A rapid cool-down is forecast this afternoon, and clearing skies on Thursday.
