Heavy rain, some snow north and west

Summary

One more clear and calm day before a major storm system moves into the region on Thursday. Precipitation will begin as snow but change to rain quickly and fall heavy at times. A very strong cold front moves through the region Friday which will change precipitation to a brief period of heavy snow. Lake effect snow is expected south of Buffalo, NY for the weekend.
