Snow on the way for Opening Weekend

Summary

Snow is on the way ahead of a big opening weekend for many New England resorts. Snow will arrive late on Thursday and persist until late morning - early afternoon on Friday. A brief period of wet snow and/or sleet is possible for southern regions of Vermont and New Hampshire. Otherwise, most of New England will see snowfall totals upwards of 6-8”, with additional accumulations of 1-4” due to upslope snow showers later in the day on Friday. We are keeping an eye on a disturbance moving over New England early next week that could bring another 2-4” of fresh snow to resorts all over the Northeast, along with another blast of cold air to keep up the prime early season conditions.
