Some snow and mixed precipitation to start the weekend
Summary
Cloudy, mild conditions for this Thursday give way to a mixed round of precipitation by this evening into Friday. The mountains will receive several inches of new snow, but snow will likely changeover to sleet and/or rain by midday Friday. Upslope snow on the backside of the storm will bring storm total accumulations in the 6-12” range for northern New York and Vermont, and in the 6-10” range for northern New Hampshire and western Maine. Other areas will be in the 2-6” range. Conditions dry out briefly on Sunday before the chance for more snow showers by early next week.
