Setting up for a snowy period

Summary

Low pressure will cross southern New England and intensify into the Gulf of Maine on Thursday. Locations above 1000 feet in southern Vermont and New Hampshire are currently forecast to see ~6-12" of snow with lesser amounts farther north and rain farther south. An extended snowy period sets up for the foreseeable future.
