Snowy Tuesday two-step, then next storm around Jan. 28-30

Summary

Monday is dry and cool ahead of our next storm slated to arrive from the west and southwest in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday. This fast-moving system will have two waves of snow. The first wave will make Tuesday a storm-ski day with 1 to 5 inches through Tuesday night, favoring Ski Apache, Sandia, Santa Fe, and Taos. The second weaker wave will drop another 1 to 2 inches overnight and early Wednesday. We dry out from January 23 through about January 27. I am cautiously optimistic about a more significant storm around January 28-30.
