New Mexico Daily Snow

Looking Up
Good Morning all!
The GFS is still flip flopping away on the Thursday evening/Friday snow, but I think that is becoming less important as a change in the pattern is becoming more evident. The Euro still shows a solution that is hundreds of miles different than the GFS, so I am going to hold off on pulling the trigger aqbout anything good Thursday. I would put the chances that the northern New Mexico ski areas see snow on Thursday night at about 50/50, and the chance that anyone receives more than 6" at 5%. I am not too thrilled with the system. However, change looks to be on the way.
After the trough passes to our north, the pattern looks to flip, but there's still a lot of disagreement on what will happen. The GFS strengthens a branch of the subtropical jet, and brings moist southwesterly flow (and snow chances!) through the weekend. The Euro seems to think that the ridge will regain control for the start of the next week. It is very up in the air, but we still have quite a few days before anything important happens.
I hope you have a great Saturday, and I hope the sun and warm isn't too annoying yet!
