Tuesday Powder
Summary
Snow fell on Monday and Monday night and there is powder on Tuesday morning.
Update
Monday's forecast worked out pretty well with 6 inches of snow falling during the day, a lull in the evening, and an additional 4 inches falling on Monday night. This brought our total to 10 inches at mid-mountain by Tuesday morning.
Now on Tuesday, the band of intense snow has moved south so I think we'll see a mixed day with some clouds and some sunshine. Enjoy the morning powder!
On Wednesday, while steady snow will fall in southern Colorado, a southwest wind is unfavorable for steady snow around here, which means that we will see anything from dry weather to scattered showers.
On Wednesday night into Thursday morning, the final part of the storm will move across Colorado, and this storm energy combined with a shift to a more favorable wind from the west should bring 3-7 inches by Thursday mid-morning. This means that there will be soft snow and maybe powder to enjoy early on Thursday.
On Friday, we'll see dry weather.
On Saturday, it's about a 50/50 chance of seeing light snow or no snow. Hopefully, we'll be able to narrow this down to one outcome or the other in the coming days.
On Sunday, most of the day should be dry, then snow may arrive late in the day or on Sunday night, with a potentially strong storm bringing snow from Monday into Tuesday. There's a chance that Monday and/or Tuesday (December 12-13) will be powder days.
