Thursday was a wonderfully sunny day with soft powder leftovers following the 21+ inches of snow that fell earlier in the week.

On Friday and Friday night, a storm will track to the south of Colorado and we will likely see no snow. Temperatures will be chilly with a high in the teens.

On Saturday, the cool temperatures will continue with a high in the teens. Also, a northwest wind behind the departing storm could bring snow showers during Saturday midday, afternoon, and evening.

On Sunday, Sunday night, and Monday, another storm will track toward Colorado from the northwest and this system could deliver 1-4+ inches of snow with perhaps a bit of powder either late on Sunday or early on Monday. I still have low confidence in the forecast details for this storm.

Looking ahead to next week, the cool temperatures will continue with readings in the single digits and teens, and we might see more snow showers and light accumulations during the middle of the week.

And in the longer-range forecast, there is a chance for a stronger storm or storm cycle during the final few days of January or the first few days of February, though that is 10+ days away, so we'll need to wait at least a few more days before we can have a shred of confidence in the forecast.
