Steamboat Daily Snow

The current storm ends, another storm arrives later this week
Summary
Monday and Tuesday will be mainly dry, then the next storm will bring snow from Tuesday night through Friday.
Update
On Sunday, a west-to-east flow of moisture and storm energy delivered snow showers with 2-4 inches of accumulation from Sunday morning through Sunday mid-afternoon. Then Sunday night was dry as the snow showers moved south of the mountain. We can see Sunday's snow accumulation on the mid-mountain snow stake cam.
Monday and Tuesday will be mainly dry with comfortable high temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s. This is the time of year when the sun angle is higher in the sky and any warm sunshine starts to work over the snow pretty quickly.
Tuesday night to Friday will be the timing of our next storm. From Tuesday night to Wednesday afternoon, we could see light snow and warm temperatures with rain possible near the base area. Then from Wednesday night through Thursday, we should see moderate to intense snow and cooling temperatures, and this means that Thursday morning could be the best time for low-to-moderate end powder (maybe 4-8 inches). And then from Thursday morning through Friday, snow showers could linger with an additional couple of inches of accumulation and likely cooler temperatures in the teens.
Looking further ahead, I think the weekend of March 18-19 will mainly dry, early the following week could bring anything from showers to continued mainly dry weather, and then our best chance for the next stronger storm will be later that week between about Thursday, March 23 to Saturday, March 25.
