Steamboat Daily Snow

Dry through Thursday, then a storm on Friday
Summary
Dry, mostly sunny, and warmer weather will be with us through Thursday, and then a storm should bring snow from Thursday night through Friday night.
Update
Reminder: Open terrain is still limited across the mountain, and (I think) more terrain should open this week.
Monday was a mixed day with some sunshine, some clouds, and temperatures in the 20s to low 30s.
Now on Tuesday morning, we are beginning the day with mostly sunny skies.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be dry, mostly sunny, and warm-ish with high temperatures in the 30s.
The next storm will bring snow from Thursday night to Friday night. The storm's track is still uncertain enough that I'll stick with my initial 4-8 inch forecast and we will dial in the snow forecast during the next few days. Snow should start on Thursday night and continue on Friday, creating softer conditions throughout the day on Friday. Temperatures on Friday will be in the teens, and unlike the past storm, winds will NOT be fast and gusty.
Saturday will likely bring little or no new snow, and we should at least enjoy soft conditions due to the snow that fell on Friday into Friday night. Temperatures will be chilly, in the single digits to low teens.
From Sunday to Tuesday, we may have additional snow showers as storms track close to Colorado. I have low confidence in the details of this forecast, so stay tuned to see how the weather will turn out during these few days.
In the longer range, we will likely experience drier weather from about Wednesday, December 13 to about Saturday, December 16. And then the next storm should arrive sometime between December 17-20.
