Steamboat Daily Snow

A series of storms on the way
Summary
Tuesday might bring a late-day shower, then we'll see snowflakes from Tuesday night to Saturday night.
Update
Monday
Monday was dry with more sunshine in the morning, more clouds in the afternoon, and a high temperature in the 30s.
Tuesday
Tuesday will be a transition day as the next storm approaches from the southwest. Expect mostly cloudy skies and a high temperature in the low 30s. We might see a snow shower later in the day or early evening, but I doubt we'll get any accumulation.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, may see a few hours of snow in the morning as a fast-moving line of showers moves across Colorado. Otherwise, I think snow accumulations will be pretty low during the day as the wind direction from the south and southwest is not favorable for us. Later in the day or early evening, the wind direction should switch to blow from the west, which is favorable, and this is when we could begin to see steadier snow. The high temperature on Wednesday will be in the 20s.
Thursday
Thursday has a chance of being a powder day some forecast models show 4-8+ inches of snow falling on Wednesday night as the wind direction becomes favorable (from the west) and storm energy and moisture stream over northern Colorado. If everything lines up just right, the snow will continue on Thursday during the day with another 2-4+ inches of accumulation. The high temperature will be in the teens and snow quality should be pretty good (fluffy).
Friday
Snow may continue to accumulate on Thursday night and through Friday as the wind direction remains favorable. Or snowfall could wane since we will be in between storms. I have low confidence in this forecast. The high temperature should be in the teens.
Saturday
The final storm in the series will track to the south of Colorado. This storm track is usually not that favorable for us, though we could eke out light snow accumulations on Saturday and Saturday night. The high temperature on Saturday will again be in the teens.
Sunday
Sunday should be sunny and dry with a high temperature in the teens. It'll be a lovely end to the weekend.
Longer Range
Monday, February 12 to Sunday, February 18 should be mostly dry, though two weak storms could bring us times of clouds and snow showers throughout the week. Then the next potential storm could arrive in Colorado sometime between Monday, February 19, and Wednesday, February 21.
My next update will be Wednesday morning.
