Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Update

Wednesday was a classic spring skiing day at Steamboat. There was not a cloud in the sky, the temperature at the base reached about 60 degrees, and the summit temperature rose to the mid-40s.

Thursday will be similar to Wednesday, though we could see a few more high clouds which could filter the sunshine and keep temperatures just a hair cooler.

The gorgeous spring weather will continue through next Tuesday, with the only interruption potentially being a few more high clouds to filter or dim the sunshine.

Then we should see more clouds next Wednesday (March 22), and these clouds will arrive in advance of a storm that will bring snow on Thursday into Friday morning. It’s still a bit too early to know the details of this storm, but I do think that we’ll have fresh snow next Thursday and again next Friday morning, and amounts could be over 6 inches.

Following that system, March 24-26 should be dry, then the next potential storm will be on March 27-28th.
