Update

Friday was a mixed day with some sun, some clouds, and about an inch of snow which fell during the midday and afternoon hours on the upper half of the mountain. Now on Saturday morning, we are waking up to mostly clear skies and colder temperatures with readings in the 20s on the upper mountain. The storm that was responsible for Friday’s snow is well to the south of Colorado, so it will not have much influence during the rest of the weekend. Expect mostly dry and mostly sunny weather on Saturday and Sunday.

Looking ahead to next week, a storm will bring snow to Colorado from Monday through Wednesday morning. I am concerned that this storm will also drop too far to the south to bring significant snow to Steamboat, but we should be able to grab at least a few inches on Monday and Tuesday. Following that storm, our next chance for snow will be between April 8-12.
