Dry & Warming Through the Weekend:

High pressure is in place over CA through Monday, bringing us the first prolonged period without storms since the last week of January.  We will warm about 10 degrees for Thu-Fri with highs in the 30's on the upper mountains and 40's at lake level, with lighter winds.  Then for the weekend, we warm another 10 degrees with highs in the 40's on the upper mountains and 50's at lake level!

Extended Forecast

The ridge amplifies up into Canada early next week.  Tuesday-Wednesday a system is trying to undercut the ridge into CA.

We could see precipitation return by Wednesday into Thursday, with another system possible for next Friday.  We will fine-tune the forecast for each system for snowfall and snow levels once they get into the 5-day window.  Right now they don't look that impressive with precip amounts.

Fantasy Range:

The ridge may continue to weaken and shift east through the last week of March, with the trough in the eastern Pacific pushing closer to the West Coast.

The pattern may remain unsettled, with more storms possible through the last week of March.

Stay tuned...BA
