It Will Get Tougher...
Summary
- Increasing clouds & wind Monday with an increasing chance for scattered snow showers by afternoon. Snow levels around 6000-6500 ft. Scattered snow showers continue in Monday night. Steadier snow showers expected Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. Then becoming more scattered Wednesday into Thursday. - Snow levels falling below 6000 ft. Monday night, and to near 3000 ft. Tuesday night, then back up to 4000 ft. Wednesday. Expected only 1-3 inches on the mountains through Monday Night, then total of 5-15 inches by Thursday. Totals of 2-10 inches at lake level. Highs in the 30s at lake level, dropping into the 20s on the mountains Tuesday. Ridgetop winds gusting from the southwest up to 60+ mph Monday, 80+ mph Monday night, 50+ mph Tuesday, then falling off Wednesday into Thursday. - High pressure builds in with a drier pattern Friday into the weekend. The drier pattern could last through the week of the 30th. Highs in the 30s on the upper mountains & 40s at lake level, possibly warming a bit more next week. We will be on the southern edge of the storm track so we will watch to see if any storms could brush us with light precipitation.
