Week 1 - Winter, Week 2 - Spring...

Summary

- Mostly sunny skies expected for Sunday morning, increasing clouds in the afternoon with scattered snow showers possible on the mountains by evening. Highs in the 30s on the upper mountains & 40s at lake level. Lighter winds. - Scattered snow showers continue into Monday. Snow levels may start around 7000-7500 ft. and fall to near lake level Sunday night. We could see a dusting to an inch of snow at lake level, and 1-3 inches on the mountains by Monday evening. Highs cooling into the 30s. Ridgetop winds increasing to 70+ mph by Monday evening. - Another system drops down the coast Monday night into Wednesday, continuing snow showers for the Sierra. This system will bring colder air and falling snow levels along with continued gusty winds. Snow levels falling below 6000 ft. Tuesday and as 2000 ft. by Tuesday night. We could see an additional 1-8 inches at lake level and 2-15 inches on the mountains. Highs in the 20s on the upper mountains & 30s at lake level. Ridgetop winds could gust from the southwest up to 60+ mph Tuesday & 30+ for Wednesday. - We could see a few snow showers linger into Thursday, but we are expecting clearing skies and a drier pattern Friday into the weekend of the 28th. The drier pattern could last through the week of the 30th. Temperatures rising to near seasonal averages.
