Isn't This More Fun?
Summary
Today we should see scattered light rain showers with snow levels around 8,500 feet. Winds will be gusting on the mountain tops to 50-60 mph. Tonight a second wave of precipitation will bring more rain and snow into Saturday. This time snow levels should sit around 8,000 feet before falling at the end. By Saturday afternoon we could see 1-2 inches of snow above 7,000 feet, and 3-10 inches above 8,000 feet. Winds are still gusting to 50-60 mph on the mountain tops and temperatures still in the 30's up high and 40's down low. We may have a break Saturday night into Sunday with some sun and highs in the 40's. We are going to see a wetter storm for Monday - Tuesday night time frame. Snow levels start high again around 9,000 feet Monday and then falling to 8,000 feet Monday night. They could fall to lake level by Tuesday morning. By the time the storm moves out Wednesday morning we could see 2-4 inches at lake level, and 3-14 inches on the mountains. Highest amounts West and Southwest of the lake. High pressure may build in later next week and into the weekend of the 13th, bringing back a drier pattern with sun. It doesn't look like it will last long as we could head right back into a wetter pattern the 3rd week of January with a series of stronger and colder storms.
