Snow on Wednesday

Summary

Snow will fall for most of Wednesday and into Wednesday evening with soft conditions for Wednesday's last chair and Thursday's first chair.

Update

Tuesday was gorgeously sunny, and the mid-mountain snow stake was dry on Wednesday at 5 am.

Now on Wednesday morning as I type this at around 7 am, snow has almost arrived, and we'll see snow from mid-morning on Wednesday through Wednesday evening, and then the snow should wind down on Wednesday night.

Total snowfall should be in the 2-6 inch range, with most of this snow falling on Wednesday and maybe an inch or two falling on Wednesday evening.

The best powder (or at least the softest snow) should be on Wednesday afternoon as well as on Thursday morning.

Temperatures on both Wednesday and Thursday will be in the teens to low 20s.

Friday and Saturday

Both Friday and Saturday will be partly sunny and dry, and temperatures will top out around 30°F.

Sunday, January 21 to Saturday, January 27

A storm to the southwest of Colorado will push clouds and snow showers over the state for most of next week. I have low confidence in the timing of the snow, and overall, I think snow amounts will be on the lower side. Temperatures will be reasonably warm with daily highs in the 20s.
