Snow returns during the middle of the week

Summary

Monday will be dry, and then we'll see snowflakes in the air from Tuesday through the upcoming weekend.

Update

Sunday

Sunday was absolutely wonderful with clearing/sunny skies, comfortable temperatures in the teens and 20s, light winds, and most importantly, fresh, fluffy snow. It's hard to beat days like Sunday and I hope that you enjoyed it.

Monday

Monday will be dry with increasing clouds throughout the day, and the high temperature will be in the upper 20s to low 30s. There should be leftover stashes of soft snow, especially in more shaded areas.

Tuesday

A storm moving in from the southwest will bring clouds, snow showers, and maybe we'll wind up with a little bit of accumulation by the end of the day. The high temperature will be in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Wednesday

Despite a not-so-good wind direction from the south and southwest, we should see 5-10 inches of snow on Tuesday night and during the day on Wednesday thanks to abundant moisture and strong storm energy. Temperatures on Wednesday will be cooler with a high in the 20s.

Thursday

From Wednesday night through Thursday, there should be additional snow as moisture and storm energy will hang around and the wind direction will be more favorable, generally out of the west. I think 2-5 inches is a decent forecast for snow from Wednesday night through Thursday, so there should be additional new snow to enjoy on Thursday. The high temperature on Thursday will be in the teens.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

I have low confidence in the forecast for Friday through Sunday. More snow is likely, and this part of the storm may track to the south of Colorado, which can result in decent snow totals for us. High temperatures from Friday through the weekend should be in the teens, and I think skies will be partly to mostly cloudy during this time.

Longer Range

The weather pattern from Monday, February 12 through about Tuesday, February 20 looks calmer and drier compared to the upcoming week. That said, the forecast still shows hints that we may see additional snow during this time, and there might be a stronger storm sometime around or just after the President's Day weekend (February 18-20).

My next update will be Tuesday morning.
