Sunny this weekend, snowing early next week

Summary

Saturday and Sunday will be gorgeous with a high temperature in the 30s. Then we'll see snow from Sunday night to Tuesday night.

Update

Saturday & Sunday

Saturday and Sunday will be dry and mostly sunny, and the high temperature will warm to 30-35°F each day. It'll be the calm before the storm.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

The storm is still on track and we'll see snow from Sunday at midnight through Tuesday at midnight. I think total snowfall will be 15-20 inches, and there is a chance for somewhat higher amounts as well.

On Monday, we may have 2-5 inches of new snow with softer conditions possible at some point during the day. I have lower confidence in the forecast for this day.

Monday night through Tuesday will bring the most intense snow and gusty winds. Snowfall should be 8-14 inches during this time with powder from Tuesday mid-morning throughout the afternoon.

On Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night, I think that we will see at least a few inches of new snow, which should set up Wednesday morning to be delightfully soft and fun. I have lower confidence in the forecast for Tuesday evening and hope to firm this up during the coming days.

Wednesday will be dry and sunny. Morning temperatures will be close to 0°F and then will rapidly warm into the teens by the late morning. Conditions will be soft and fun due to the snow from Tuesday and Tuesday evening.

For snow quality, expect somewhat thicker snow on Monday into early Tuesday due to warm temperatures and fast winds, and then we should transition to fluffier snow during the day on Tuesday and Tuesday night.

Longer Range

We will see dry weather from Wednesday, February 28 to Saturday, March 2.

Then the next storms should be on or around Sunday, March 3 to Tuesday, March 5, with maybe another storm around Friday, March 8 to Sunday, March 10. It's also possible that snow could hang around between these two systems.

My next update will be Sunday morning.
