Snow continues

Summary

The stalled storm will keep snow showers going all weekend, then we'll likely see a break in the snow during next week.

Update

Friday

On Friday, we saw 3-4 inches of snow during the day, and then the snowfall stopped on Friday night.

Saturday & Sunday

During the weekend, the storm will continue to be stalled near Las Vegas, and this will push snow showers across the mountains now and again.

I think that our best chance for additional snow accumulation will be on Saturday midday/afternoon and again on Sunday afternoon, though the snow showers on Sunday afternoon may stay just to our south. Accumulations could be 3-6+ inches during the weekend, and high temperatures should be in the 20s.

Monday to Friday

The weather during the upcoming week will be a mix of everything - some sunshine, some clouds, and some snow showers. I think that we'll see just light snow accumulations, if any, as the stalled storm weakens and drifts to the east. High temperatures will be in the low 30s.

Longer Range

From Saturday, March 23 through the end of March, multiple storms will track from the Pacific Ocean through Colorado, so chances are high that there will be multiple days with fresh snow, and perhaps a couple of true powder days. The first stronger storm may arrive from Saturday, March 23 to Sunday, March 24, and I'll fill in the details during the next few days.

My next update will be Sunday morning.
