Sunny and warm this week, then snow returns on Sunday

Summary

For this week, we'll enjoy drier conditions and warm-ish temperatures. Then the weather pattern will change with snow starting around Saturday night and continuing into early next week.

Update

Sunday

Sunday wound up being mixed with some sunshine, some clouds, and a few snow showers which delivered just a dusting of accumulation. The high temperature was in the 20s.

Monday to Thursday

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will all be partly sunny and warm with a high temperature in the low 30s, and there is a chance that we'll see a few afternoon showers on Wednesday and Thursday. While the storm to our southwest will continue to slightly influence our weather with these afternoon showers, most of the accumulating snow from this system is over - we wound up with 23 inches over four days.

Friday & Saturday

Both Friday and Saturday will be cloudier with a few showers and maybe light snow accumulations. These clouds and snow showers will be created by moisture that will stream into Colorado ahead of the next storm. The high temperature will continue to be in the 30s.

Longer Range

Starting on Saturday night, snow and cooler air will return, and we'll see chances for snow from Saturday night through about next Wednesday, March 27. It is still too soon to figure out potential snow accumulations, though there may be enough snow for a powder day on Sunday and/or Monday, March 24-25.

Following the stormy weather, we may see drier conditions around Thursday, March 28, and Friday, March 29. And then another storm could arrive during the weekend of March 30-31.

My next update will be Tuesday morning.
