Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Friday will be similar to Thursday with mostly sunny skies during the day with a high temperature in the mid-30s.

Saturday and Sunday will also bring similar weather with mostly sunny skies and comfortable high temperatures in the mid-30s.

And, a terrain update:

Friday - Lifts 7, 8, and 9 open for the season
Saturday - Lifts 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 open for the season

These lifts will provide access to limited terrain and afford intermediate ski access to the Town of Telluride via Telluride Trail to Lower Lookout and Easy Out. Egress at the base of Lift 9 via Bail Out for experts only.

Good news!

Next Week

Next week, multiple storms from the Pacific Northwest should move through Colorado with a respectable total snowfall of potentially 5-10+ inches.

While no single storm in this series will likely bring significant/deep snow, the combination of light-to-moderate snow totals across 5+ days should create fun and softer conditions.

  • Monday/Tuesday, December 23-24. A weak storm could bring a few flakes on Monday or Monday night, but most snow should stay to the north of Telluride.

  • Wednesday/Thursday, December 25-26. A stronger storm could bring another round of snow, and this storm could track more directly over Telluride.

  • Friday/Saturday, December 27-28. A single storm or multiple weaker storms may bring moderate snow totals, but the latest forecast data has trended lower.

  • Monday, December 30 to Thursday, January 2. This may be the coldest storm (or series of storms) during the next week and they could bring somewhat higher snow totals, but they could also track a bit too far to the north.

I will continue to dial in the details of next week's snowfall, so stay tuned. It'll be good to see the flakes!
