Multiple storms possible through mid-February

Summary

Friday night's storm will mostly stay to the north of Telluride, though all hope is not lost as there should be two storms next week and potentially two storms the following week.

Friday

Friday will be the final day of warmer temperatures and gusty winds. The high temperature should be in the mid-30s and wind gusts could reach 35-50 mph.

Friday Night & Saturday

A storm will bring snow from Friday night through Saturday mid-morning, though most of the snow should stay north of Telluride. With some luck, there will be a few flakes on Friday night and Saturday morning, and accumulations could range from nothing to a coating to an inch of snow.

Saturday's high temperature will be in the upper 20s, and wind speeds will be slower and not much of an issue.

Longer Range

On Saturday night and Sunday, moisture and the jet stream will stick around, and there could be additional snow showers, though most or all of this snow should stay just to the north of Telluride.

On Monday, February 10, there should be snow showers during the midday and afternoon with perhaps a few inches of accumulation.

From Tuesday, February 11, to Thursday, February 13, there could be snow showers, but this next storm may stay just to the west or north.

Around Friday, February 14, to Saturday, February 15, the next storm could bring snow and the latest data continues to show that accumulations could be significant as a lot of moisture pushes into Colorado from the southwest.

Then from Sunday, February 16 through the following week, one or two storms should track close to or through Colorado and will likely bring more snow.
