Wednesday

On Tuesday night, the storm delivered 4 inches at mid-mountain. This was at the upper end of my forecast and I am glad that the high side came through!

On Wednesday, enjoy the morning freshies, and dress warmly as temperatures will be close to 0°F for most of the day, though there should be some sunshine to make the air feel a bit warmer.

Thursday

Thursday should be dry and partly sunny with a high temperature of around 25°F.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday

A strong storm with a LOT of moisture will bring snow from Thursday night to Saturday night.

On Thursday night and Friday, there will be a lot of moisture, but the wind direction will not be favorable. This leads to a tricky forecast with one positive factor (moisture) and one negative factor (poor wind direction). I think 3-6 inches is a reasonable forecast for Thursday night and also 3-6 inches on Friday, so this should lead to soft and deepening conditions on Friday.

On Friday night and Saturday, the wind direction will be favorable, so snowfall should stick around with another 3-7+ inches of accumulation. Temperatures will cool, so the snow quality should be fluffier on Saturday.

To recap, I think Friday starts with new snow and gets deeper through the day, and Saturday also starts with new snow and gets deeper through the day. I think that the snow will end on Saturday evening, with soft conditions on Sunday but maybe not a lot of new powder.

Sunday

Other than the potential for leftover powder on Sunday morning due to any new snow from Saturday night, Sunday should be dry with a high temperature in the 20s.

Monday & Tuesday

A storm will bring snow from Monday or Monday afternoon through Tuesday and there will likely be new snow to enjoy on Tuesday. There is a chance that snow will linger into Wednesday morning.

Longer Range

Another storm is possible around Friday, February 21 to Saturday, February 22, and then yet another storm could bring snow around Wednesday, February 26.
