Wednesday Night Recap
On Wednesday night, a surge of moisture produced a dusting to 1 inch of snow. The snow stake camera is not working, nor are the on-mountain weather stations, so I'm doing my best to estimate based on nearby sensors and other cams.
Thursday (Mar 6)
On Thursday, snow showers have already fired up in the morning, and there should be showers throughout the day with 2-4 inches of accumulation and a high temperature in the 20s.
On Thursday afternoon and Thursday night, intense snow showers should deliver another 2-5 inches of accumulation, along with possible lightning strikes.
Friday (Mar 7)
On Friday morning, the snow that fell on Thursday afternoon and evening should create some powder, and the temperature should be in the upper teens to low 20s.
On Friday, the weather could be mixed, with some snow showers and some breaks of sunshine.
On Friday evening and Friday night, the final part of the storm could push snow toward the mountain from the south and southeast, and this might result in another dusting to an inch of accumulation.
Longer Range
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (March 8-10) will be dry, with a high temperature in the 20s on Saturday and in the 30s on Sunday and Monday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday (March 11-12), a weaker and fast-moving storm should bring some snow.
From Thursday to Saturday (March 13-15), a stronger and slower-moving storm could create powder days on Friday and Saturday.
And then, toward mid-March, the fifth storm of the month could deliver snow around Wednesday, March 19.
