Tuesday Recap

Tuesday was partly sunny with a high in the 30s.

Wednesday (Mar 12)

On Wednesday, skies will be partly sunny, and the high temperature will be in the 30s.

A storm is tracking to the south of Colorado, but it will not have a major impact on Telluride's weather aside from the additional clouds and maybe a stray snowflake.

Thursday (Mar 13)

On Thursday, skies will again be partly cloudy as the next storm approaches, and temperatures will be in the 30s. Snow showers could begin during the afternoon.

Friday (Mar 14)

Following intense snow on Thursday night, there will likely be 4-8 inches of snow on the 5 am report, with an additional 2-4 inches of accumulation throughout the day.

Saturday (Mar 15)

Saturday morning's conditions will likely be soft due to the snow that fell on Friday and 1-3 inches of additional accumulation on Friday night.

There could be a break in the snowfall on Saturday morning, and then another round of snow will track across Colorado starting around Saturday late morning, so there could be 2-5 inches of new powder by Saturday's last chair.

Sunday (Mar 16)

Sunday morning could be powdery due to the snow from Saturday afternoon and another 1-4 inches of snow on Saturday night. 

I think Sunday morning's first chair will be pretty enjoyable with a soft base, untouched snow on top, and clouds dissipating.

Enjoy the snow early on Sunday because the mid-March sunshine and warming temperatures will likely impact the snow quality on east-facing and south-facing slopes by mid-morning.

On Sunday midday and afternoon, the weather should transition to be mostly sunny with a high temperature of around 30°F.

Next Week

Monday (March 17) will be dry and warm with a high temperature in the upper 30s.

Tuesday (March 18) will start with dry weather, then snow should fall from sometime on Tuesday through Tuesday night and continue on Wednesday (March 19).

Wednesday should be a powder day due to the snow from Tuesday night and more falling on Wednesday.

Then, there could be a weaker storm around Friday, March 21, with a potentially stronger storm around Sunday to Monday, March 23-24.
