Sunday Recap
Sunday turned out to be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the upper 20s.
Monday (Mar 17)
Monday will be dry. Mid and high-level clouds will filter the sunshine, and winds will be gusty at the summit. The high temperature should be in the upper 30s.
Tuesday (Mar 18)
On Tuesday, snow showers should begin between late morning and early afternoon, and there could be 2-4 inches of snow by the last chair. The temperature will be in the 20s.
On Tuesday night, the storm will continue, and the wind direction from the northwest is ideal, so I think additional snowfall will be in the 3-6 inch range.
Wednesday (Mar 19)
Wednesday morning should offer fun conditions with the 5-10 inches of snowfall from Tuesday midday through Wednesday morning. Clouds and snow showers could stick around during the morning, and the high temperature will be in the teens, and this should keep the snow in quality condition for at least the first half of the day.
Thursday (Mar 20)
Thursday should be dry, partly sunny, and warmer with a high temperature in the upper 20s.
Friday (Mar 21)
A fast-moving storm on Thursday night will track to the north of Telluride and should bring a coating to 2 inches of snow by Friday mid-morning. Friday's high temperature should be in the 20s.
Saturday & Sunday (Mar 22-23)
On Saturday and Sunday, a storm will track across northern Colorado. While most of the storm's impact will stay to the north of Telluride, there could be some clouds and snow showers at times.
Monday to Friday (Mar 24-28)
From Monday to Friday, expect mostly sunny and warm weather with high temperatures in the upper 30s to mid-40s. It'll feel like spring.
Saturday to Monday (Mar 29-31)
Most of the longer-range models show a decent chance that the next storm will track into Colorado during the final few days of March, but this is still 12-15 days into the future, so I have low confidence in the details of the forecast.
