Wednesday Recap

Wednesday was a fun day of powder thanks to soft-on-soft conditions following 14 inches of storm total snowfall. And temperatures stayed cold, preserving the snow quality through about midday.

Storm #2

The second storm of the week arrived on Wednesday night, and it delivered 3 inches of snow by Thursday morning's first chair.

The storm is compact yet strong, which leads me to have only moderate confidence in the forecast

My best estimate is that this storm will bring another 2-4 inches of snow on Thursday, with the softest conditions during the morning and midday.

Storm #3

The third and final storm of the week will bring snow to Colorado from Friday midday through Saturday evening.

The storm will track far to the south of Colorado, and with storm energy wobbling around Colorado, once again, I only have moderate confidence in the forecast.

My best estimate is for another 2-6 inches of snow from Friday midday through Saturday evening, with the chance for soft conditions on Saturday's first chair and again on Sunday's first chair if some snow returns on Saturday night.

Longer Range

Closing day is Sunday, April 6, and the weather should be perfect, with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature in the low 30s.
