Cooler weather returning, but is it cold enough

Hope everyone enjoyed the record breaking temperatures this weekend that made March seem more like May. These warmer temperatures should stick around for a few more hours today until the high pressure pulls back west over the next 24 hours.

Right now the chance for any more significant snow this season seems to be waining. That being said, we saw over a foot in May across the Upper Midwest last year, so not counting out it out entirely. However, for at least the next 10 days, it looks like the best chance for any snow at all will be further north along the North Shore, South Shore, and UP.

As for this week, a clipper should pull through the area on Thursday bringing us back towards normal temperatures. However, the low center is tracking southerly out of the realm of freezing temperatures so not feeling overly confident with the snow actually accumulating on the ground (not to mention the warm ground temperatures due to the lack of snow coverage now). At the very least, it give the resorts the best chance to stay open for another week or two instead of having to deal with temperatures in the 60s like this weekend.

Snow in the forecast for this week, but not sure if it's cold enough to actually reach the ground.

Enjoy the spring skiing!
