The Forecast for Monday 3/25 – Tuesday 3/26

We will start the week on a quiet note for the eastern three-quarters of North America. Along the west coast, though, storms will just start to push light-to-moderate snow into California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and Idaho.

The Forecast for Wednesday 3/27 – Friday 3/29

The middle and end of the week looks like the stormiest time for the western United States as one or two storms will bring intense snow to many areas. Northern California could be deep on Wednesday and Thursday, with powder also extending into Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. I am still not certain if we’ll see only light snow in Utah and Colorado or if we’ll be able to grab deeper amounts.

The Forecast for Saturday 3/30 – Sunday 3/31

Over the weekend, light snow could linger near and east of the continental divide in Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. To the east, a warmer storm could bring rain to the northeast before the precipitation transitions back to snow either late in the weekend or early next week.

The Outlook for Monday 4/1– Friday 4/5

We will continue to see snowstorms move across the United States as we head into April.

However, my confidence is low concerning the timing and location of these storms. The storm door should remain open along the west coast, and maybe a storm or two will hang around the continental divide before moving towards the east.
