Forecast for Fri 11/26 – Sat 11/27

Snow will pick up across New England and New York and Friday and Friday night before tapering off during the day on Saturday, while farther south, PA and WV will see lighter snow as well. BC and Alberta are reporting nice snow totals as of Friday morning and will continue to see lingering snow showers from a departing storm on Friday.

The next storm will then reach Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest on Saturday, but warmer air and rising snow levels will result in rain or a rain/snow mix for many areas.

Forecast for Sun 11/28 – Mon 11/29

Back-to-back weaker storms will move across the Upper Midwest and Northern Mid-Atlantic on Sunday and Monday with moderate snow expected, while farther north, New England and Upstate NY will see lighter snow showers.

Frequent storms will continue to impact Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest but rising temperatures and will result in rain for many areas, with higher elevation resorts in Alberta and Interior BC being the most favored for snow.

Forecast for Tue 11/30 – Wed 12/1

Frequent storms will continue to move across the Northeast and will brush the Upper Midwest with snow showers favoring the Northern Mid-Atlantic and New England. Storms will continue to produce rain and high elevation snow across Western Canada where warmer-than-average temperatures will persist. Northern BC and Alaska will see heavy snow during this period.

Extended Forecast

Outlook for Thu 12/2 – Mon 12/6

The overall pattern is not expected to change much during this period with the East continuing to be the most favored for frequent storms and snow chances, along with cold temperatures.

In the West, the storm track will continue to favor British Columbia, and while temperatures will remain on the warmer side of average, they will be cooler compared to the previous week with more snow versus rain expected as a result. Most of the Western U.S. looks to remain in a mild and dry pattern.

Thanks so much for reading! Next update on Monday (11/29).
