Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Winter Park Daily Snow

Update

Thursday morning is sunny with temperatures colder at the base (23F) than they are at the summit (30F). This can happen during clear and calm nights as colder, denser air flows to the lower elevations.

The next storm is still on track to bring snow from Thursday late night through Saturday afternoon. Between Thursday night and Friday midday, we might see just a few showers and mostly dry weather. Then snow should intensify by Friday midday or afternoon, and the snow should be the most intense on Friday evening through Saturday morning, with snow showers continuing through Saturday midday or afternoon.

The best time to ski powder will likely be on Saturday morning with 6-15+ inches on the ground and more falling through the first half of Saturday. While temperatures will start warm on Friday, they will cool into the upper teens and low 20s by Saturday morning, so I think the quality of the powder will be good for your Saturday morning.

Keep your eye on Saturday morning as this could be the last cold powder day of the season! Also, get after the new powder very early on Saturday as any sunshine that breaks through the clouds on Saturday will quickly thicken the fresh powder.

As a reminder, Winter Park's last day of the season will be on Sunday, April 22nd and Mary Jane's last day will be Sunday, May 6th.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
