Windy on Monday, snowy on Monday night at Winter Park
Summary
Sunday will be dry and sunny, Monday will be dry and windy, and Monday night will bring 2-5 inches of snow.
Short Term Forecast
On Saturday, we enjoyed a mix of sunshine and snow showers with just a little bit of accumulation.
On Sunday, expect sunny and warm weather with high temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
On Monday, expect a bit of every type of weather. We will start with sunshine and light winds, then by midday, we’ll see more clouds and winds gusting to 30-50mph which could slow or stop some lifts from running. During the afternoon and evening, snow will begin to fall.
From late Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning, we should see 2-5 inches of snow accumulation. Tuesday morning’s first turns on the groomers could be soft thanks to this new snow. The rest of Tuesday could bring a mix of sunshine and a few showers and chilly temperatures in the teens and 20s.
Extended Forecast
From April 1-5, we will see dry weather, mostly sunny skies, and warm temperatures with afternoon highs in the 40s. It will feel like springtime and snow conditions should be crunchy and firm in the morning and then rapidly soft by mid-to-late morning.
For the few days after April 5th, cooler weather and snowfall should return to the west coast, but it looks like these stormy conditions will stay along the west coast and likely not make it east into Colorado. April usually brings more powder to Colorado, so winter is likely not over, but we’ll need to wait until after at least the first week of April for snow to return.
