Flakes possible Friday morning at Winter Park

Summary

Thursday will be dry and warmer, then Friday will offer a few snowflakes in the morning with cooler temperatures.

Short Term Forecast

On Wednesday, we saw lingering snow showers in the morning, then sunshine returned during the afternoon.

On Thursday, look forward to a lovely spring day with partly sunny skies and high temperatures close to 40 degrees.

On Friday, we will see a more winter-like day, with a chance for snow showers in the morning and temperatures in the 20s. This cooler weather will be due to a storm that will track across the northeastern corner of Colorado.

On Saturday and Sunday, we’ll flip back to warmer and dry weather with high temperatures close to 40 degrees.

Extended Forecast

All of next week and into the following weekend (April 12-18) should bring active weather to Colorado with chances for snow every day along with cooler temperatures and cloudy skies throughout the period.

It is still a little too soon to focus on snowfall amounts, but the latest models all point toward double-digit snow totals and potential powder days especially around the middle and end of the week. Stay tuned as we narrow down the forecast in the coming days!

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
