Snow returns on Tuesday morning
Summary
Monday will be sunny, and then we should transition to snowy skies by Tuesday morning.
Update
Sunday was a sunny day with temperatures in the 20s to low 30s, and the clear skies continued on Sunday night with no new snow looking at the base area now on Monday morning.
Monday will be another sunny day with temperatures in the teens and 20s. Then the mountain should get a refresh with snow likely starting on Monday around midnight and maybe falling steadily through Tuesday morning. Like the last few storms, this one will not produce a lot of snow, but we'll take the fluffy flakes and there could be softer turns to enjoy on Tuesday morning with 2-4 inches of accumulation. From late Tuesday morning through the rest of the day, steady snowfall should end, though we could see on-then-off-again showers continue until sunset, and if the wind from the east extends high enough into the atmosphere, we might see a few more inches of accumulation.
Wednesday will be dry and sunny with a high in the teens.
Then on Thursday, we could see more clouds, maybe a few flurries or snow showers with light accumulations, and temperatures will be the coldest all week with a high around 10°F.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be mostly sunny and warmer with daytime highs in the 20s and low 30s.
As we start February, we will transition into a stormier weather pattern across the western US. There will be a high chance for significant snow sometime between Tuesday, February 1, and Friday, February 4. If we're lucky, there could be two storms during this time, but even just one significant snowfall would be welcome.
Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
