Dry through the weekend, snowy next week

Summary

Friday will be cloudy, Saturday and Sunday will be sunny, then we'll see snow during most days next week.

Update

Thursday offered fun powder in the morning with dry and sunny weather during the afternoon.

On Thursday night, a weak storm dropped just a few flakes on the mountain with an accumulation of about a coating (less than an inch).

Now on Friday morning, temperatures are 10-20°F under cloudy skies.

Friday will continue to be partly-to-mostly cloudy with a high around 20°F.

Saturday and Sunday will be sunny with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s. Sunday will be the warmer of the two days.

Then next week will be snowy, and my early estimate is that the multi-day snow total will be in the 8-12 inch range. We'll see one round of snow from Monday into Tuesday, then additional snow showers on Wednesday and Thursday. If the storm tracks a little farther to the north, these numbers will go up, and if the storm tracks a bit farther to the south, the numbers will decrease. In addition to the snow, the other weather story for next week will be cold temperatures, with readings in the single digits on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
