Sunny weekend, snowy next week

Summary

We'll enjoy a lovely, warm, and dry start to the holiday weekend, then snow will arrive on Monday and continue through most of the week.

Update

Friday was partly to mostly cloudy, but that's behind us now as Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny and gorgeous.

Temperatures on Saturday should rise into the upper 20s, and Sunday will be warmer with temperatures around 30°F. Enjoy the sunshine!

Looking ahead to next week, it's going to be stormy with some snow likely every day.

We might sneak through Monday without a lot of snow, so travel on the tail end of the holiday weekend could be ok. Then a period of intense snow could occur on Monday evening and Monday night with fun powder on Tuesday morning.

After that, we should see more snow on Tuesday and Wednesday with snow tapering off on Thursday.

Total snow accumulations from Monday through Thursday could be 10-15 inches. If the storm stays a bit farther to the south, we'll see totals closer to 10 inches. And if the storm moves a little farther north, three-day totals could be 15-20 inches. I should be able to narrow this down during the next day or two.

Following this week's storm, there could be some snow showers late in the week and over the weekend, with two storms possible during the first week of March. Fingers crossed that this snowy pattern continues!

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
