Snow on Monday and Monday night

Summary

A narrow band of snow will bring flakes through Monday night, then we'll see a break in the weather for the rest of the week.

Update

Weatherwise, Sunday was a relatively quiet day with just light snowfall and low accumulations. This is because most of the storm energy stayed just to the north of the mountain.

On Sunday night into Monday morning, a narrow band of snow formed over northern Colorado and delivered 2 inches overnight at mid-mountain.

Now on Monday, the narrow band of snow should move over the area and should stick around through Monday evening. Total snowfall should be 4-8 inches through Monday evening. We could get less snow than this if the band moves a little faster to the south, and we could get more snow than this if the band slows down and stalls over the area.

There should be powder during Monday late afternoon, and maybe softer snow and deeper powder for Tuesday morning's first chair. Then the weather on Tuesday will become mostly sunny with a chilly high temperature in the teens.

For Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, expect dry weather with lots of sunshine. Wednesday's high temperature will be in the teens, then Thursday and Friday will be warmer with a high temperature in the 20s.

Looking ahead, there will be three chances for storms through mid-February. The first storm will be around February 4-5 and could be weaker, the second storm will be around February 6-8 and could be stronger, and the third storm will be around February 12-14 and could be stronger.
